In Seacroft, a man lost his life following a violent assault on Wednesday night.

West Yorkshire Police have opened a murder inquiry following the tragic death of a man who was the victim of a major assault in Leeds’ Seacroft neighbourhood last night, June 15. In relation to the event, three persons have been placed under arrest.

At 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday, police were alerted to complaints of an assault on Rosgill Drive, Seacroft, Leeds. When they arrived, they discovered a man in his 40s, unconscious, laying in the middle of the road. He suffered severe head injuries and was sent by ambulance to the hospital, where he passed away this afternoon.

“Detectives are piecing together the circumstances that led to this tragic death,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Holdsworth of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team. I would strongly advise anyone who witnessed the attack or who knows more about the events leading up to it to come forward and get in touch with our investigative team.
