Chris Wilder says United might win some games if everyone was as good as one Blades star

Chris Wilder thinks Sheffield United would win more often if more of his players were like one squad member, despite the fact that his team lost to Brentford yesterday.

In front of goal at the G-Tech Arena, the Blades puffed and fummed but were unable to muster any quality.

Eventually, United were undone by a stroke of bad luck for teenager midfielder, Oliver Arblaster.

Arblaster stuck a leg out to intercept a pass from Martin Damsgaard but looked on in horror as his contact with the ball found its way past Ivo Grbic in the United goal.

However, that isn’t to say that Arblaster wasn’t the star of the show once again for United.

Indeed, speaking after the game, manager Chris Wilder suggested that if more of his players played like Arblaster, then United might actually win some more games.

Ollie Arblaster is praised by Chris Wilder
During his press conference after the game, Wilder praised Arblaster’s efforts and acknowledged that he is currently essentially showing up the senior players.
He’s adapted to the Premier League like no other and is at ease, so the players need to catch up to him, as I’ve told them. He is a magnificent source of light for all of us. We’re overjoyed to have him,” Wilder remarked.

As a team, we must keep up with him and demonstrate the qualities he demonstrates in every game, from an attitude point of view to a physical point of view, and most importantly, just a calmness to play and take the responsibility and pressure. The youngster won’t get carried away if we work with him and keep our feet firmly planted. However, the players need to catch up to him since, at the moment, doing so would present us with a tremendous opportunity to win football games.

Based on his performances, Arblaster is anticipated to be the centre of attention for United’s midfield in the upcoming campaign.

this year, should flourish in the Championship.

Moreover, Wilder’s remarks about Arblaster are instructive.

It’s a warning to the other Blades players that they ought to be on par with him. It’s also a pretty harsh evaluation of his teammates from Wilder, considering Arblaster is only 19 and has only participated in a small number of games in his career.
