It has been suggested to Danny Rohl that he could do something “ridiculous” in Sheffield Wednesday’s remaining three matches.

After losing to Stoke City on the weekend, Sheffield Wednesday will have to fight for their survival over the next few weeks.

After Liam Palmer opened the score, the Owls momentarily emerged from the relegation zone; however, their euphoria was short-lived as an equaliser quickly pulled them back down.

Although Danny Rohl’s team is still only one point from safety, they must win their remaining Championship games against Blackburn, West Brom, and Sunderland.

Given how hopeless the team appeared to be under Xisco Munoz, the German coach has done an incredible job, but they have still spent the most of the season in the bottom three and will now need to pull off a last-minute “miracle” to avoid it.

Danny Rohl must work a “miracle.”
Although Ryan Dilks of the Second Tier Pod has praised Rohl as “unbelievable,” he acknowledges that he will need to take some “ridiculous” actions to maintain the Owls’ success.

Dilks stated on the podcast: “It will be absurd if they continue on this path.

“Danny Rohl is not a miracle worker, despite his incredible performance this season. It could appear that this is a bridge too far.

“There’s still hope as they do have a habit of pulling results out of nowhere, but it would be pretty ridiculous if they did stay up from this stage.”

Can Sheffield Wednesday pull off the ‘ridiculous’ challenge?

Sheffield Wednesday’s chances of staying up are undeniably bleak, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say avoiding the drop would be ‘ridiculous’.

This weekend’s opponents Blackburn are very unlikely to go down now after beating Leeds last time out, and they could potentially ease off and become complacent heading into their final three games.

If West Brom can cause an upset against Leicester on Saturday then their chances of finishing in the top six will look pretty comfortable, so their focus may turn to the play-offs.

Meanwhile, Sunderland have absolutely nothing to play for, and Wednesday will surely be targeting a big win on the final day of the campaign.

It will definitely be difficult, but the Owls are capable of picking up vital points in this final run-in. Though relying on the likes of Birmingham and Stoke to drop points could be risky.
