Sheffield Wednesday to face former player, after humiliation..

was a player who was turning heads as he rose through the ranks at Middlewood Road after years in the club’s youth setup, but Wednesday fans would never get to see him play for the club at senior level after the teenager was signed by Brentford alongside teammate Isaac Holland in 2022.
Since then, he has bided his time with the Bees, taking part in their first-team preseason under Thomas Frank over the summer. Last month, he made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup, and he has also been named on the bench in a couple of Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.

This week, with Frank set to make changes following their 4-3 win over Ipswich Town, Wednesday might face the 19-year-old for the first time since his departure, which left Darren Moore and Dejphon Chansiri dissatisfied.

We feel disappointed to lose those two promising players,  Moore remark

ed of Yogane and Holland at the time. “We wanted them to stay with us, but they’ve gone to the Premier League, and we wish them the best… The chairman and I are not especially pleased with the mechanism in place.

There will undoubtedly be other managers at lower league clubs who oppose the system, but the system is what it is. It serves no meaningful purpose for us, but it clearly does for the league’s top teams.

To lose two players to two Premier League opponents demonstrates the potential they have. All we can do is wish them success in their future endeavours. Brentford has done nothing out of the usual. They examined the system and saw opportunities to get players now rather than later. “The system is as it is.
Holland, who is also 19, has not yet made it as far as Yogane has, but he is a regular on their B team.
