An inquiry is in progress following the discovery of a man’s body in Sheffield’s downtown this morning.
Police are on Church Street and will remain there for the duration of the day after being called to the area.
They claim that the man’s identity is unknown.
According to a police spokesman:
“A man’s body was discovered in Sheffield’s downtown at 5:19 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, according to reports that prompted the call for emergency services.
The cause of the man’s death is still being investigated, and the death is being handled as unexplained for the time being. Officers will stay at the scene at Church Street for the duration of the day.
“Formal identification is yet to take place.”
