Hamza Mohammed was taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon (June 08) and died on Monday (June 10)

A guy who was discovered in Sheffield with a severe head injury and later died has been identified by the police.

On Saturday, June 8, 23-year-old Hamza Mohammed was transported from Staniforth Road in Darnall to the hospital.
The next Monday, June 10, he passed away, and detectives started looking into his murder.

After being detained on suspicion of robbery in relation to the event, a 23-year-old male was later freed on bond.

A 25-year-old male has also been questioned by police on suspicion of aiding an offender, and they are still looking for witnesses.

Thomas Woodward, detective chief inspector, stated: “Unfortunately, a young man’s life has been lost.

“We are still pleading with anyone who has information that could be useful to our inquiry to come forward.

Were you present in the vicinity? at the time of the occurrence, and do you have any useful dashcam or CCTV footage? Would you kindly step forward?”
