A “serious incident” has resulted in the closure of a road in Skegness’s core. At 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, police said they were summoned to Grosvenor Road, which is near Roman Bank and the intersection with Cavendish Road.

Only that it’s a “serious incident” has been provided by the press office of Lincolnshire Police. “A police cordon is in place from Dorothy Avenue to Cavendish Road, and a scene guard is on duty,” the force stated.

“Investigations are still underway. As soon as we have more information to give, we will post updates on our website.”

Images from our correspondent on the scene show a blue tent encircling a piece of land close to the intersection with Dorothy Avenue.

At this point, our reporter has left the scene at Skegness’s Grosvenor Road.

With police present, a police cordon is still in place.

At 6:52 p.m. yesterday, police said they were summoned to the street, which is near Roman Bank and the intersection with Cavendish Road.

We are awaiting an additional statement from Lincolnshire Police outlining the details of the incident.

There are areas in Skegness that are “no go zones,” according to another local.

The man stated, “I’m not sure what happened,” but he did want to be identified. I do my best to stay off of Grosvenor [Road].

“I don’t think Skegness is bad and dangerous as a whole but some parts are no go zones.”

Another Grosvenor Road resident claimed he was growing accustomed to seeing cops around.

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, stated: “I discovered last night on Facebook that there had been a stabbing.

The police are always present down here. You grow accustomed to it.

“I’ve spent twenty years living in Skegness. Every year it gets worse.”

Numerous police cars are inside the cordon, and our correspondent on the site reports that several officers are on the street.

In addition, he claimed to have witnessed a crime scene investigator entering and leaving the property. Additionally, he observed two individuals conducting door-to-door canvassing on Grosvenor Road.

Although Lincolnshire Police have not yet confirmed it, a resident of Sutton Crescent, which is close by, claims she has heard that someone has died in the incident.

Pauline Lumsdale remarked, “This place is a dive. This is the area whenever there are police and sirens.

“It’s not unusual for this road,” remarked a local resident named Chris. It’s terrible. This area is home to a large number of drug addicts.

Typically, a fatal incident occurs annually at the upper end of Grosvenor Road. It’s unfortunate because the victim is a relative.

Police forensic investigators are visible in the area in photos taken at the scene.
