The class of 2024 doesn’t have National Signing Day until a couple of weeks from now, but the class of 2025 has already started making formal promises and is now in charge of recruiting. Four-star offensive tackle Carter Lowe verbally committed to Ohio State and Ryan Day today. Lowe is from Ohio and this is his first pledge.
The student from Toledo, Ohio, chose to join a school that has been very busy recruiting lately. Toledo is only two and a half hours away from Columbus. Following the 247Sports combined rankings, Day has now signed the ninth-best tackle in the country for the 2025 class and Ohio’s third-best player.
With verbal pledges from six recruits for 2025, Ohio State’s recruiting class is currently ranked sixth, beating out Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, and Michigan. Lowe picked Ohio State over those schools. Days and his team have been making good money lately through the transfer site, and this is another good pick-up for them.
There is still a lot of time for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs to add to their recruiting class for 2025. They have been visiting states in and around Georgia to find top recruits, just like they did in 2024.
