Celtic wanted a striker in January. Adam Idah was loaned from Norwich, although several other names were considered.

One couldn’t get away from the chatter of Bojan Miovski and Lawrence Shankland, but a player who has been consistently linked with the Hoops since last summer is Mathias Kvistgaarden.

A deal for the Danish star fizzled last month, but The Bhoys reportedly made a late offer. Football Scotland said that Celtic contacted Brondby at the end of January but was told the club would not do business in the winter.

One may expect that the Hoops will sign the 21-year-old in the summer when the Danish season ends.

In a few months, Kvistgaarden could move permanently since Adam Idah is returning to Carrow Road. However, if Idah has not excelled by then and there are requests to sign him permanently, which is possible.
