Boston (AP) — The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 129-124 on Tuesday night, thanks to Jayson Tatum’s 30 points and two blocks in the final 30 seconds.
Jaylen Brown scored 25 points and Derrick White had 24 to help Boston win the season series over Indiana, 3-2. The Pacers defeated the Celtics in the In-Season Tournament quarterfinals in December.
The Pacers’ Aaron Nesmith led the team with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Pascal Siakam finished with 23 points, and Myles Turner contributed 17. Tyrese Haliburton, an All-Star, with 13 points (5-of-16 shooting) and 10 rebounds.
The Celtics were ahead 127-124 when Tatum denied Turner at the rim with 29.3 seconds left, resulting in a shot-clock violation. He added another block with 11.2 seconds remained to keep Boston’s five-point advantage.

San francisco (AP) Stephen Curry scored 37 points, including eight three-pointers, Jonathan Kuminga added 26 points, and Golden State defeated Philadelphia despite the absence of guard Klay Thompson due to illness.
Curry, who also had eight rebounds and seven assists, went 12 for 17 in his third consecutive 30-point game.
Andrew Wiggins contributed 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Tobias Harris had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Sixers, while Joel Embiid added 14 points before limping to the locker room with 4:04 remaining after Kuminga crashed on his left knee.
KNICKS 118, JAZZ 103.
New york (AP) — Donte DiVincenzo hit a career-high nine 3-pointers and scored 33 points, Jalen Brunson had 29 points and nine assists, and New York won its eighth consecutive game to cap off one of the best months in franchise history.
The Knicks finished 14-2 in January. That was their most wins in a month since March 1994, and only one shy of their all-time high of 15-3 in December 1968.
Utah’s Collin Sexton scored 22 points, but the team lost in New York for the second night in a row to conclude the road trip 2-4. Brooklyn trounced the Jazz 147-114 on Monday.
With starting Knicks forwards Julius Randle and OG Anunoby out for the second night in a row, Precious Achiuwa equaled a season high with 18 points. Josh Hart finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Isaiah Hartenstein scored 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Atlanta (AP) Trae Young scored 26 points, including his first six 3-pointers, and Atlanta gave Los Angeles its second double-digit loss in as many nights.
The Lakers, who are without Anthony Davis after a 135-119 loss at Houston on Monday, fell back below.500 to 24-25. Austin Reaves scored 28 points and James contributed 20 in a lackluster performance in front of a standing-room only crowd.
Dejounte Murray, who led the Hawks with 24 points, hit mid-range shots on three consecutive possessions midway through the fourth quarter to put an end to any hopes of a Lakers comeback.

Chicago (AP) Gary Trent Jr. scored 24 points, Bruce Brown contributed 19 points and seven rebounds, and short-handed Toronto rallied past Chicago, snapping a season-high five-game losing streak.
Jordan Nwora scored 17 points in 19 minutes, while Dennis Schroder had 16 points and 10 assists for the Raptors, who trailed by 16 in the second quarter but reclaimed the lead late in the third and held on from there.
DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 25 points, while Ayo Dosunmu contributed 21. Chicago has dropped three of their last four.
