2011 — MVP DeAngelo Hall has one of his team’s five interceptions and returns a fumble 34 yards for a touchdown in a 55-41 victory over the AFC, tying a Pro Bowl scoring record. Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning, and Matt Cassel each threw interceptions in the first half to help the NFC build a 42-0 lead.

2011 — At 18:49 in the third period, Loui Eriksson scores his second goal, an empty-netter, to help Team Lidstrom defeat Team Staal 11-10 in the NHL All-Star Game.

2015 — Without Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, the Phoenix Open continues. The biggest surprise is Woods’ 82, which includes a bogey on his final hole, his worst score in his two decades as a pro. Mickelson shoots 76 and falls two strokes short of making the cut.

Angelique Kerber defeats Serena Williams 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to win the Australian Open title, snapping the six-time champion’s unbeaten streak in finals at Melbourne Park.

2018 — Houston’s James Harden records the NBA’s best scoring triple-double (60 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists) as the Rockets defeat the Orlando Magic 114-107 in Houston.

2022 – Australian Open Men’s Tennis: Rafael Nadal wins his 21st Grand Slam singles championship with a 2-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4, 7-5 victory over Russia’s Daniil Medvedev.
