News: Kelce Wants to Stay with Eagles

Despite not “knowing what’s going to happen” with his playing career, Kelce told Reiner that he wants to “be involved in the [Eagles] organization.” Seven-time Pro Bowl blocker doesn’t want to miss Eagles victory.

“I don’t want to ever feel like I’m on the outside looking in on these achievements and these accolades and these opportunities that largely represent entire cities and fan bases and organizations.”

Not hard to picture Kelce flourishing off-field. His passion of Philadelphia and being an Eagle makes him a candidate for coaching or brand ambassador roles.

Kelce hinted about retiring when the time was right. However, he told Reiner that he looks forward to “trying to prove people wrong” next season following a disheartening Wild Card Round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kelce referred to himself rather than the Eagles, meaning he may play another season.

Fans want Kelce to work with the Eagles once he retires, but he’s irreplaceable. He played in all 17 games in 2023, his 13th NFL season, surrendering one sack in 654 pass-block snaps with an offensive grade of 80.7, according Pro Football Focus. Not to mention his 156 consecutive regular-season starts, a team record.

When Eagles fans will learn if Kelce will return next season is unknown. After a great career, he deserves to take his time, but don’t expect an announcement until after Super Bowl LVIII.
