Latest Liverpool news and transfer gossip as Kylian Mbappe has reportedly decided against transferring to the Premier League amid tentative links that he could join the Reds this summer.

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly ruled out a move to the Premier League this summer, effectively ruining Liverpool’s hopes of completing a deal.

The Reds have been linked with a deal for Mbappe since he left Monaco to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. Since then, every transfer window has seemed to bring at least one report of Liverpool making a move to capture the brilliant forward.

Mbappes’ contract with PSG is slated to expire at the conclusion of the season, leaving him free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with clubs outside of France in the summer. That has sparked talk that Liverpool might sign the 2018 World Cup winner on a free transfer, with Real Madrid also apparently interested.

According to Caught Offside, however, Liverpool has “no chance” of signing Mbappe this summer. This is because Mbappe has ruled out a move to the Premier League at the end of the season, as well as the Saudi Pro League.

According to the article, Mbappe is only likely to join Real Madrid if he quits PSG. PSG has reportedly made a contract offer to Mbappe that will last until 2027, but the attacker has yet to accept the deal.

If Mbappe leaves PSG, the Ligue 1 club is expected to replace him with AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. As of now, Mbappe has yet to reveal what his future plans are beyond this season, with reports indicating that a decision will be made within the next few weeks.
