LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo continued to lead the last round of publicly accessible fan voting for the NBA All-Star Game. As of this writing,

Giannis was the only player to have received more than four million votes total. LeBron, with 3.93 million, wasn’t far behind, though. With 3.72 million votes, current MVP Joel Embiid is the player closest to four million.

After this weekend’s voting, the All-Star starting lineup will be revealed on January 25. LeBron, Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Luka Doncic, and Steph Curry would start in the West if current trends continue. Giannis, Embiid, Tyrese Haliburton, Jayson Tatum, and Trae Young would begin in the East meanwhile. The actual All-Star Game is held in Indianapolis on February 18.

Meanwhile, LeBron was a little more distracted than usual during his post-game media interviews, as he tried to watch his son Bronny take on Arizona at the same time. James’s refusal to give scrum reporters in the tunnel his full attention was first revealed when he told them he had to go watch Bronny. While James did fulfill his media obligations, he would often look past the reporters to focus on the screen showing the USC game.

When a reporter asked him if he found it more difficult to watch Bronny and USC struggle or to lose with the Lakers, James snapped to attention. “Watching college basketball alone is tough. Then you add my son in there, it’s even harder because I’m… it’s hard to watch. It’s hard to watch. Yeah, I’m a dad, but also, love the game of basketball and college basketball, just, it’s like ten people in the paint at the same time. It’s very hard to watch at times, but USC’s a great program, Arizona’s a great program, you get a good opportunity to watch some good basketball in this game,” James added.
