On Monday morning, Michigan football fans were hit with some unfortunate news. Several sources indicated that head strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert is departing from the team and would be joining Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The fallout from Harbaugh’s departure for the NFL has now reached a tipping point. Herbert was an invaluable asset to the team’s performance and recruiting efforts due to his proven ability to develop players. His departure will be deeply felt. The loss of Herbert, who was beloved by both players and fans, is a bitter pill to swallow, especially because he was instrumental in Michigan’s recent success.
