The NBA has fined Minnesota Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards $40,000 for publicly criticizing officiating on multiple occasions.

The fine was imposed on Wednesday in reaction to Edwards’ comments following the Timberwolves’ 107-101 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a Monday showdown of two of the Western Conference’s top teams.

“I’m going to accept the fine because the refs did not make any calls tonight,” Edwards stated in an interview with Bally Sports North on the court following the game. “We had to play through every bump and grab. I’m not sure how we won tonight.

Edwards continued to criticize the officials to media afterward.
