According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, former All-Star Kyle Lowry has agreed to sign with Philadelphia as a free agency after his contract was bought out by Charlotte.
Lowry had been averaging 8.2 points and 4.0 assists in 28 minutes per game with Miami until January 23, when the Heat moved him to Charlotte for Terry Rozier and a first-round selection.
Lowry — who played his high school basketball at Cardinal Dougherty and college ball at Villanova — has long hoped to return to Philadelphia to join the Sixers. At 37 years old, Lowry gets the chance for the rest of this season with his old coach, Nick Nurse. https://t.co/zQQRSyVKlA

Lowry was born and reared in Philadelphia and attended Villanova before entering the NBA as Memphis’ 26th overall choice in 2006. Lowry would later play for Houston and Toronto, making six All-Star appearances with the Raptors. He subsequently spent two-plus seasons in Miami before relocating to Charlotte.
