The Atlanta Falcons interviewed Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach and temporary offensive coordinator Joe Brady for head coach. When Joe Burrow won the Heisman Trophy and led LSU to an undefeated season and national title in 2019, Brady was their passing game coordinator. After 7-10, Atlanta must replace dismissed head coach Arthur Smith.

The Panthers hired Brady as offensive coordinator after LSU’s 2019 season. Before the end of his second year, the team fired him. The Bills signed Brady last season. He was named temporary offensive coordinator in November when Buffalo sacked Ken Dorsey.

Burrow had the most SEC passing yards and touchdowns (5,671 and 65) under Brady to beat Clemson in the 2020 national title game.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Atlanta interviewed former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh, who allegedly has a second scheduled amid contract negotiations with the Wolverines.

Harbaugh’s second meeting with Arthur Blank and the Falcons is important given earlier negotiations with the Los Angeles Chargers and the possibility the NFC organization may offer a larger pay, according to The Michigan Insider.

Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick interviewed with the Falcons.

TMI’s Sam Webb claimed on CBS Sports HQ this week that Harbaugh’s NFL departure is “greater” than last year. Webb said Harbaugh’s choice is influenced by salary, contract language, and NFL front office and managerial opportunities.

For weeks, Michigan sports director Warde Manuel has told fans he will keep the national championship-winning coach in 2024 and beyond. Manuel reaffirmed that re-signing Harbaugh was a key priority last weekend at Michigan’s Crisler Center, where the institution celebrated its national title.

“To answer the question I heard about 500 times on the parade route, I’m working on getting this man a new contract, I promise you,” stated Manuel.

Since December, Michigan’s upper hierarchy has been negotiating Harbaugh’s contract. The legendary coach briefly discussed his future before defeating Washington in the national title. With a $8.3 million 2023 salary, Harbaugh is the 12th-highest paid college football coach.
