Gameweek 24 stars include Arsenal’s Declan Rice and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Arsenal’s 6-0 triumph against West Ham was a talking point from the Premier League weekend.

Goal-scoring midfielders are also in this week’s top five.

A record-breaking gameweek 23 of Premier League activity set high expectations for gameweek 24.

It wasn’t as exciting as that weekend, but Liverpool got past Burnley, Arsenal thrashed West Ham United, and Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur all won late.

Gameweek 24’s top five 90min players are listed here.

  1. Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle had a difficult holiday, but they’ve started 2024 professionally.

Since their painful loss to Liverpool on New Year’s Day, Eddie Howe’s team has won four of six games in all competitions, losing only to Manchester City in stoppage time. Not very disastrous, right?

Bruno Guimaraes scored twice to help Newcastle beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 on Saturday, coming up big when his team needed him.

Newcastle should get another defensive midfielder if Guimaraes stays long-term since he’s too good on the ball to play in the center circle.

  1. Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher

Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino seemed to be in trouble as his team went into halftime 1-0 down against Crystal Palace with only one chance.

At Selhurst Park, former Eagle Conor Gallagher led the Blues to a remarkable comeback triumph.

Chelsea equalized after halftime thanks to the England midfielder, who Pochettino has struggled to keep despite Tottenham’s desire. He then put them ahead with 91 minutes left.

Gallagher kept his first two Premier League goals until a good moment after they had been in the mail for a while.

  1. Manchester City’s Erling Haaland

Everton had an edge over Manchester City for 71 minutes.

Our treble-winners had half-chances and most of their attempts were blocked or wide.

That gave a little spice to Erling Haaland’s amazing opening goal, volleying with his weaker right foot and scoring his team’s first attempt on target.

He then bowled over Jarrad Branthwaite and rolled the ball past Jordan Pickford to complete his brace.

  1. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka

Arsenal could have had all five players on this list after a 6-0 win against West Ham. We’re trying to be fair, so they’ll get only the top two this week.

Second place goes to Bukayo Saka, whose effort opened London Stadium’s floodgates.

The winger was brought down by Alphonse Areola and had the chance to score and revenge his missed penalty from last season. He was accurate from 12 yards.

Arsenal went into halftime 4-0 up and were able to slow down, but Saka was able to score with a more signature finish, putting himself between Nayef Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri and hitting Areola at his near post.

  1. Declan Rice (Arsenal)

West Ham had already defeated Arsenal twice this season when they met again at the weekend, with former Hammer Declan Rice scarcely influencing either game.

East London’s Sunday earthquake altered everything.

The Gunners have dominated set pieces this season, and Rice’s pass assisted two of their first three goals.

As expected, Rice scored the last goal at the London Stadium with a long-range shot that left Saka dumbfounded.

Talk about biting your former feeder. Football Manager wouldn’t have slammed West Ham this much.
