Stephen Jackson appeared on the talk show Relationships Matter. Jackson said he was getting ready to marry the woman of his dreams. Jackson and his then-fiance Imani Showalter had mutually agreed to sign a prenuptial agreement prior to their marriage. On the wedding day, Jackson approached Showalter after learning that she had not signed the prenuptial agreement. Even though she agreed to sign while crying, Jackson believed it was not the proper intention. He broke off the marriage.
Jackson was aware that if a prenuptial agreement was signed in an emotional state, it may be overturned by a judge. As a result, his mental clarity prompted him to cancel the wedding. After all, Jackson stated that he spent $400,000 on the wedding. It was not simple to toss all of that money away. More importantly, he was letting go of his lifelong love.
Jackson, on the other hand, was unable to let go of his friendship with Showalter entirely. He and she have two children. As a result, they have started co-parenting. Jackson has routinely provided Showalter with child support.
