Concerns for the welfare of a teenage girl led to the commencement of a large search, which resulted in her death.
Following complaints of a concern for the safety of a young girl, emergency services, including police, paramedics, and firefighters, were dispatched to Carr Mill Dam in St Helens this afternoon. The ECHO has reported that Merseyside Police officers have verified the discovery of a body after a thorough search.
The ECHO received confirmation from the nearby Toby Carvery restaurant that there was a substantial police reaction. Police warned restaurant employees not to let patrons out to the back near the lake.
