As part of ongoing efforts to combat drug distribution across county boundaries, a man from St Helens has been charged with narcotics crimes.
On Thursday, May 23, while on patrol in Shaw Street, St Helens, the county lines taskforce of Merseyside Police made an arrest of a 33-year-old male as part of Project Medusa.
Michael Blackburn, 33, of Fleet Lane, St Helens, is accused of possessing controlled Class B drug (cannabis), criminal property, and Class A drug (crack and cocaine) with the purpose to supply.
Remanded in custody, Blackburn is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court this Friday, May 24.
The national campaign to combat County Lines drug peddling and criminal exploitation is called Project Medusa, and it is spearheaded by Merseyside.
