St Helens woman who pleaded ‘guilty’ sentenced

A judge will sentence a woman who has entered a guilty plea to wounding next week.

On Thursday, May 23, Sonia Munro, of Kings Road, West Park, appeared via video connection at Liverpool Crown Court. She is currently being held in custody.

The 45-year-old was scheduled to get a term for the crime. He was wearing a sweatshirt during the video link.

In connection with the incident that occurred on March 21 of this year, Munro entered a plea of guilty to wounding during an earlier plea and trial preparation hearing.

Judge Gary Woodhall was informed by prosecuting attorney Derek Jones that a victim’s personal statement had been made, but it was not accessible to the court.

He continued by saying that there was also some “misinformation” regarding a restraining order that had been issued.

Sentencing was postponed until Friday, May 31 by Judge Gary Woodhall so that these issues could be settled.

Munro was informed by Judge Woodhall that there will be a postponement until May 31. For the time being, you are being held under remand.
