Preston North End is still getting ready for their match against Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship. On Wednesday, the Lilywhites were supposed to play Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium, but the match was called off due to a fire that broke out close to the stadium.

PNE responded promptly, giving supporters a reimbursement for their match-day ticket along with a £15 travel credit for those who want to attend the rescheduled game. Despite the fact that the match was in the middle of the week, Preston North End was expecting to bring about 700 supporters to the South Coast.

The most recent information from the Championship in the lead-up to this weekend’s match against Stoke is provided here.

Stoke City make ‘major change.

This weekend, Preston North End will host the Potters at home. However, StaffordshireLive reports that if Stoke maintains their Championship status, there will be some improvements made to bet365 Stadium.

The tunnel next to the away fans is where players have fled from since the stadium opened in 1997. The Staffordshire team will now move the supporters to one side of the stadium and assign them to a separate location.

Stoke’s home fans will now be behind both goals, and it’s possible that they’ll be allowed to enter the standing section. There are plans to build a £1.5 million fan zone as well.

Plymouth Argyle appoint new coach

After this weekend, Preston North End will play the Pilgrims, who have a new first-team coach. Ian Foster now has Simon Ireland on his coaching staff.

The 52-year-old has worked for Brighton, Nottingham Forest, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, and Huddersfield Town under Darren Moore as a set-piece coach.

Neil Dewsnip offered his thoughts on the appointment, saying: “Even though it has taken some time, we have always been insistent that we would wait for the right individual, who could actually make a difference, and

We think we have found that in Simon.

I would like to welcome Simon to the club and wish him every success in his role.
