Dawson Devoy, a loanee from Swindon Town, will have “conversations” with MK Dons manager Mike Williamson about his future this summer.
During the January transfer window, the midfielder was temporarily acquired by Swindon Town.

Devoy, 22, is scheduled to depart at the end of the current campaign, but he has now made 15 appearances for the Robins across all competitions.

According to an MK Citizen story, Williamson stated: “We saw in patches here how good he can be and the potential he’s got. Dawson is a great guy.”

“I’m made up for it because he went there and performed really well, but I don’t know what the future holds.” We have a lot of conversations to have.

MK Dons plan talks with Swindon Town loanee

MK Dons have a big decision to make on what to do with Devoy ahead of the next campaign.

The former Republic of Ireland youth international has one more year left on his contract with his parent club, although it’s unclear at this point whether they still see him as a long-term fixture.

Before joining Bohemians, Devoy was a young student at Home Farm and St. Kevin’s Boys.

He made his debut in the League of Ireland Premier Division team’s first squad and proceeded to play 88 games, tallying 11 goals.

Then, in 2022, the Dons enticed him to England, although they were demoted from League One in his first season.

He participated in 44 games the previous season, but recently, he has had fewer opportunities, which is why Swindon Town was given a loan to him.

The MK Dons’ forthcoming play-off campaign will be their primary priority right now. This weekend, they host Sutton United at home in the last game; in order for their opponents to advance, they must win and hope that Colchester United loses.

The Robins, on the other hand, play Morecambe but are now without a game.
