A town centre road was blocked off by police on Saturday morning.
At about eight in the morning, cars and pedestrians were barred from entering Farnsby Street.
According to Wiltshire Police, a “medical incident” was the cause of this, and by about 9.20am, it had been safely addressed.
Due to the necessity to reroute some buses, Swindon Bus Company experienced minor traffic delays.
A representative for the bus operator stated: “Farnsby Street is currently closed by the Police, service 1/1A/1B and 5 have been diverted to Regent Circus via Station Road, Corporation Street and Princess Street until further notice and will not be able to serve Farnsby Street or Commercial Road stops.”
