Man arrested with abduct two girls in Swindon

A man has been charged with two counts of attempted child abduction.

On Wednesday, April 3, North Swindon resident Prasath Yasasvin made an appearance before the Swindon Magistrates’ Court.

He is now scheduled to appear at Swindon Crown Court on April 26 after being remanded in jail.

It comes after reports that on Monday, April 1 at around 7:20 p.m., a guy allegedly attempted to talk two young girls into getting into his car on Redhouse Way.

Supt. Guy Elkins stated: “I want to express my gratitude to the public for reporting this occurrence to us. We recognise the concern this would cause in the community and we take events like this very seriously.
