Richard Sherman made a shocking statment about Tom Brady Stress At Bucs Headquarters

Joe holds the majority of the media accountable for the misreporting of what Baker Mayfield stated about Tom Brady in a recently released edition of the Casa De Klub podcast, which was recorded prior to Week 1.

Joe transcribed the comments days before anyone else, which was not unusual. This is Mayfield’s genuine quote.

Mayfield described Bucs headquarters as “a little bit different with Tom in there.” “Tom is obviously different from me in terms of play. I believe that everyone was somewhat freaked out since he had everyone under control and created a tense atmosphere.

“Therefore, everyone expected the Bucs to struggle last season, and they wanted me to take over, be myself, and help guys who weren’t enjoying football find a little bit of joy again in football.”

In a larger context, Mayfield essentially stated that Bucs officials informed him that certain players’ love for the game had been diminished by the Brady method. Mayfield was instructed by the staff to just be his exuberant self and enjoy the journey.

Joe believes that Mayfield’s description may have also played a minor role in Todd Bowles’ decision to choose the passionate, high-octane Dave Canales as offensive coordinator following Brady’s retirement.

Still, a lot of media misinterpreted the play as Mayfield jabbing at Brady.

Brady was given the opportunity to address Mayfield’s remarks during yesterday’s FOX broadcast. In what was clearly a scripted reaction, he mentioned how losing football games is “stressful” and that if he wanted, he would take his kids to Disneyland.

The sincerity was refreshing.

“They both spoke with facts,” Sherman remarked.

It’s all a matter of perception. Everything has a viewpoint. I think Tom Brady is a great guy. Although he doesn’t rule the locker room, he is a person who expects a lot from everyone in the building, including his offensive line, coaches, offensive coordinators, receivers, and training staff. Yes, that will undoubtedly cause tension. However, he puts in that level of effort and performance, which requires you to handle some tension.

Sherman continued with his assessment of Baker’s impact on an underdeveloped Bucs roster in 2020.

Joe appreciated Sherman’s perspective, including sharing how Brady was militant preparing for the next opponent immediately following games.
