Following a crash that left two persons with significant injuries, Cleveland Police are requesting any information.

The collision occurred on a country track close to Hartlepool’s Greatham village, and the two injured parties were transported to a hospital. Anyone who noticed a quad bike in the vicinity on Sunday is asked to contact the authorities.

“We received reports of a road traffic collision at around 3pm on a farm track near Greatham,” a Cleveland Police spokesperson stated.

A pair of individuals were admitted to the hospital due to severe injuries. We are asking anyone who observed a red or black quad in the area or who has dashcam footage from the A689/Greatham area in the afternoon to contact Cleveland Police at 101 and with the reference number SE24182985 in order to help police with their investigations.”

According to a spokesman for Great North Air Ambulance, our critical care team was called in at 3:03 p.m. due to reports of a collision in Greatham, which is close to Hartlepool. At 3:22 p.m., a paramedic and doctor arrived on the scene in a critical care vehicle.

“Our team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat the patients and they were taken to hospital by an NEAS road crew, accompanied by our team.”
