After two vehicles collided and one overturned, drivers are being advised to choose alternate routes.

Just before 7.30 a.m. this morning (August 1), officers were called to Lower Road, East Farleigh, close to the intersection with Dean Street.

The road is currently closed while arrangements are made to recover one of the vehicles.

The ambulance service said it treated one person at the scene before taking them to Tunbridge Wells Hospital for further medical care.

The police said: “Drivers should consider alternative routes due to significant congestion in the area while emergency services are dealing with the incident.”

Body found in Mote Park, Maidstone

Part of a public park was cordoned off after a young man was found dead.

Police were called to Mote Park in Maidstone on Saturday (July 27) at around 5.20am to reports of a body being found

Officers attended with paramedics where a man in his 20s was found dead.

A section of the country park, near Willington Street, was sealed off by police.

The force said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been completed for the coroner.
