After a man was murdered in Totton, POLICE acted to calm community concerns.

It follows four arrests made by Hampshire police as part of a murder investigation into a man’s death on Salisbury Road on Sunday night.

According to police, they are “continuing to support” the deceased person’s family. “I know there may be some concern among the wider Totton community about this incident,” stated Matt Reeves, the neighbourhood chief inspector. Although our police and staff will make every effort to reassure you, don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.”

Following the death of a 26-year-old Wolverhampton man and claims of a “serious assault” at the Calmore residence, police are still questioning a 19-year-old male on suspicion of murder.

After being taken into custody on accusations of aiding an offender, a 42-year-old man and a 15-year-old kid were later freed.

Because of a “medical episode” that occurred shortly after the older man who was arrested on suspicion of murder was taken into custody, Hampshire Constabulary has reported itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
