A “really caring man” has been honoured by the family of a man whose body was discovered in a river.

The 20-year-old Jayran Curvilie vanished on March 21 of last year and was discovered dead in Towcester, Northamptonshire’s River Tove on April 18.
Three weeks previously, his clothing had been discovered hanging on a fence by the river.
An open verdict was reached after an inquest into his death that was conducted in Northampton on Thursday.

Tracey Curvilie, the mother of Mr. Curvilie, released a tribute through Northamptonshire Police after the inquest.
“Jayran, I miss you. “My heart is broken and life will never be the same without you,” she murmured.

“The thought of all the things you’ll never see or experience depresses me greatly. My grandchildren, I will never get to see you have children of your own. You’ll never get to celebrate holidays or have a family again.”At just twenty years old, you were a genuinely kind and reliable individual. What a waste of a life that is.”
She continued by saying that the entire family was missing him and that many of his loved ones had attended his funeral.

Mr. Curvilie’s jacket was discovered hanging on a gate on Northampton Road, prompting a three-day underwater search in the Watermeadows area of Towcester; however, his body was finally discovered in a separate body of water.
The coroner declared that the reason of Mr. Curvilie’s death was unknown while recording the open verdict.
“Our thoughts remain with Jayran’s family and friends who have had to relive the distressing events through the recent inquest proceedings, and we extend our deepest condolences as they continue to come to terms with their loss,” stated Det Ch Insp Johnny Campbell, the person in charge of the missing person investigation.
