Over the weekend, a woman in her 50s was discovered dead at the Pennyhill Park Hotel, and police have detained a murder suspect.
A woman was discovered dead at an opulent Surrey hotel, prompting the opening of a murder investigation.


A woman in her 50s died over the weekend at a five-star hotel in Bagshot, according to Surrey Police, and a man was taken into custody on suspicion of murder.

After her body was discovered on Sunday morning, South East Coast Ambulance Service called officers to the Pennyhill Park Hotel at 8:43 a.m.

Following his arrest, a Devon man, 60, is still being held by the police.

It’s thought that the suspect and the victim knew one another.

The woman’s death has been reported to her family.

The Major Crime Team of Sussex and Surrey Police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

Detective Inspector Debbie Birch, Senior Investigating Officer, stated: “At this trying time, our thoughts are with the victim’s family.”

Although the investigation is still in its early phases, a specialized team of officers is working nonstop to pursue further leads.
