A power outage in the area caused significant disruption, resulting in cancellations and major delays for flights departing from Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom, according to an airport official.
The spokeswoman stated on Sunday that a large number of flights, especially from Terminals 1 and 2, were anticipated to be cancelled or delayed.
Sky News was the first to report on the outage, claiming that the airport and multiple other facilities were impacted by a power supply problem.
Although power has been restored, the report stated that services will be impacted throughout the day.
It is advisable that travellers scheduled to depart from Terminals 1 or 2 get in touch with their airlines in advance of arriving at the airport.
Unless instructed otherwise by their airline, passengers scheduled to depart from Terminal 3 should arrive at the airport as usual; nevertheless, there may be delays,” an airport representative stated.
