One of the victims of a two-vehicle collision in Cumbria is a 38-year-old male.

Following the deadly crash on the A66 near Brough, police are looking for witnesses.

At 4:58 p.m. on Saturday, there was a complaint of an accident involving a silver Vauxhall Astra and a grey Honda Civic, which prompted police to be called.

The man from Nottinghamshire who was driving the Vauxhall Astra passed away at the spot.

For several hours, the A66 between the A6 at Penrith and the A685 at Brough was closed.

On April 14, at around midnight, the road reopened.
