A 16-year-old boy has been arrested over a stabbing in Topsham which left a man

A 16-year-old kid has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Topsham and seriously injured a man in his 30s.

According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the adolescent faces charges related to attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
On January 5, between 20:15 and 20:30 GMT, the man on Majorfield Road was stabbed in the arm and hand.
According to police, the victim travelled to Topsham to meet with an unknown person in order to sell a computer.
Following the attack, the hurt man left the area and drove himself to the hospital where he was treated.
According to the police, the youngster was accused with attempting robbery, GBH with purpose, having an offensive weapon in a public area, and having an offensive weapon in Devon

Following his detention on suspicion of GBH with intent, a 16-year-old boy has been discharged without any further action.
Investigators are eager to locate a witness who they say was intimidated on the same road on December 20 by an unidentified individual.
According to Det Insp Michelle Westlake, “This person may hold valuable information which could help with our enquiries.”
Police should be contacted by anyone with information regarding the event or CCTV footage.
