The incident on Belfast’s M2 motorway on Friday afternoon resulted in the air ambulance being sent to the scene.
There were lengthy tailbacks due to the temporary closure of the M2 southbound between Fortwilliam Roundabout and the Duncrue Street offslip. Now that it’s fully open again.

It comes after a little after 2:00 pm traffic accident involving two motorcycles and a red Volkswagen Beetle.

After police and emergency personnel arrived on the site, two guys who were riding motorcycles were brought to the hospital.

A PSNI spokesperson stated, “The M2 motorway has now reopened following an earlier road traffic collision.”

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have captured the collision on dash-cam to contact them at Sprucefield on 101 quoting reference number 995 04/09/20.
