Under John Chavis’s defensive coordinatorship, the Birmingham Stallions won the USFL titles in 2022 and 2023. And he has called the defensive signals for the majority of their inaugural season in the United Football League.
However, Chavis has been sidelined for Birmingham’s last two games and is not expected to play in either the regular-season finale or the UFL playoffs.
Coach Skip Holtz of the Stallions stated, “Nobody wants to change coordinators seven games into a season.” “That would be akin to switching coordinators halfway down a roller coaster hill.” When it’s moving, the process is challenging. It’s been challenging for our players. It’s been challenging for our coaches. You examine it and declare, “You know what? What we need to do is figure out a way. What we were given was this. The hand we’ve been handed is this. We need to figure out how to make it function. I have complete faith in Corey Chamblin’s abilities.
