A CRASH has sparked huge traffic near the A483/A5 roundabout this afternoon.
Traffic Wales has confirmed there has been a collision on the road near Halton, which has caused the road to be partially blocked.
Emergency services are reportedly attending the scene.
There are lengthy delays in both directions, with traffic as far back as Ruabon and Gobowen following the incident.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Following a road traffic collision on the A5 Chirk Bypass, the road is closed Northbound.
“Please avoid the area whilst officers work to clear the road, thank you.”
Traffic reports show that the traffic has cleared as of 7pm.
