Dawson Devoy is someone Walsall will need to keep an eye out for when they host Swindon Town at the Poundland Bescot Stadium tonight.
Devoy, an MK Dons player on loan, scored twice as Swindon defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-2 on Saturday.

He made an impact during halftime to help the Robins win, and he’ll probably be rewarded with a start against the Saddlers this evening.

And Swindon boss Gavin Gunning was full of praise for his half-time substitute on Saturday: “We brought Dawson on at half-time and he changed the game.

“If you can get beyond and add numbers – because that is what teams are looking for – to your game then he will be one of the elite players at this level.

I believe he performed poorly for the first six minutes until I called him over and gave him feedback. Then he was getting past, creating opportunities, and his second goal was brilliantly composed.

Prior to his game-winning performance on Saturday, Devoy scored in a win over Bradford City when he was on loan from league rival MK Dons to Swindon in January.
The outcome helped Walsall’s chances of making the playoffs as AFC Wimbledon and the Saddlers, who have this evening’s match against Swindon in hand, are now tied on 62 points.

Swindon’s Udoka Godwin-Malife will not play after receiving two yellow cards during their triumph over the weekend. However, they enter the encounter with Swindon in 15th place in the table and having won their last two games and three of their previous four after a challenging campaign that saw Gunning replace former Walsall manager Michael Flynn in January after just eight months in the position.
