Mamadou Doumbia, an exciting striker for the Mali youth national team, has signed a six-year contract with Watford FC, which the club is happy to confirm.

On July 1, 2024, the left-footed 18-year-old will sign a contract with the Hornets from Black Stars FC in Mali.

At 6 feet 3 inches, Doumbia combines flair and excellent ball control with his innate finishing instincts.

With his performances at the 2023 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where Mali finished fourth despite Doumbia scoring four goals in five games, he made a huge impression on the international scene.

At the Under-17 World Cup last year, he maintained his strong play, scoring four more goals, including a hat-trick in the team’s opening game against Uzbekistan.
His other goal came in Mali’s 3-0 victory over Argentina in the third-place play-off.
Mamadou, welcome to Watford!
