I can’t really go too deep into it,  Wright remarked. It’s really recently made. It was only this morning that I learned. It’s too early for me to discuss, but my sympathies and best wishes are obviously extended to his family. I always become emotional when I start talking about it. For many others, myself included, he was everything.

Following Arsenal’s announcement of Campbell’s death, many condolences began to arrive.  We are devastated to learn that our former striker Kevin Campbell has passed away after a brief illness,  the statement continued. Shortly later, Tyrese, Campbell’s son, shared a heartfelt homage to his father on social media.  I appreciate my Dad was admired by many & the outpouring of love has been some comfort for us as a family, so thank you for that at such a difficult time,” the former Stoke City forward wrote in his post.

As a son, you see your dad as unbeatable, and the pain you feel from this is beyond words. He is my hero and the person I aspired to be when I was older. He was a unique individual who was cherished by many, the life and spirit of every celebration and space he graced. Dad, I will miss you. [Heart-shaped blue emoticon].

Now that we are grieving the loss of an incredibly special father, brother, uncle, and all-around wonderful human being, I would ask that you respect our family’s right to privacy.

Always love you, Dad [blue heart emoji].
