In light of what the Old Gold need to work on this summer, Gary O’Neil has disclosed what sets his position at Wolves apart from any previous roles he has held at other teams.
Wolves finished the 2023–24 season in 14th place in the Premier League with 46 points after losing 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield.
In his first season at Molineux, Gary O’Neil guided his team to surpass their previous season’s point total, demonstrating the team’s growth, but there will be a sense that more points should have been earned.
The Old Gold won once in April and May, but they only managed to accumulate five points out of a potential thirty from their final ten Premier League games.
When considering the final-day loss to Liverpool, O’Neil had more worries than just the performance on the pitch. It was an awful way to cap off an excellent season at Wolves.
