A MAJOR Hampshire road was closed after a two-car crash, with one person suffering minor injuries.
On Thursday, August 29, there was a collision at the Winchester Road roundabout close to Bishop’s Waltham Palace.
After a recovery truck responded, the road was closed and reopened at approximately 4 p.m.
“We were called at 2.06pm to a report of a collision involving two cars,” a Hampshire police spokesman stated. There has been one report of minor injury.
“The log states that at 14:16 on 29/08/2024, a crew from Bishop’s Waltham and two crews from Eastleigh were called to a road traffic collision on Old Station Roundabout, Winchester Road, Bishop’s Waltham,” a spokeswoman for the Hampshire Fire Service said.
The incident involved two private vehicles. One female was extricated from a vehicle by crews and handed over to the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews remained on the scene to help police colleagues clear the road.
