A man and a child have been taken to hospital following a smash on the rural stretch of the A53. Police and two ambulances were sent to Buxton Road, in Upper Hulme, following a collision between a car and a van.
Now paramedics sent to yesterday afternoon’s smash have confirmed that the driver and ‘young girl’ from the car were taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital. StokeonTrentLive reported at the time how the route past The Winking Man pub was left ‘partially blocked’ following the collision.
The alarm was raised just before 2.35pm where police say they found a Vauxhall Corsa and a Renault Master van had collided.
