A man was killed and girl seriously injured in a crash on a major route this morning, West Mercia Police confirmed a man, 59, was killed on the A483 near to Oswestry in a crash involving an Audi and Volvo HGV.
A girl, seven, was airlifted to hospital with “life threatening” injuries. West Midlands Ambulance confirmed a second man, said to be the lorry driver, was assessed and treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Officers released a witness appeal on Friday afternoon, urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time to get in touch with them directly. They have also warned the A483 will be closed for “a number of hours” as accident investigation work takes place.
