A man has died near a shopping centre car park close to the Surrey border. Police were called by paramedics to Farnborough in Hampshire due to concerns about the man, who was in his 70s, at around 7.45am this morning (Tuesday, August 22).
The incident took place near the Meads Shopping Centre car park. Hampshire Police has said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The man’s family has been notified of his passing, and in the next several days, the coroner will take over the case. “We were called at 7.45am today (Tuesday, August 22) to a report of the concern for the welfare of a man near the Meads Shopping Centre car park in Farnborough,” a Hampshire Police spokeswoman stated.
Officers attended the scene and worked with colleagues from the ambulance service. Sadly, a local man in his 70s was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and his family has been informed. A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.”
