Emergency services were called to the tracks near Broughty Ferry late on Saturday night. Network Rail have since confirmed the fatality with services restored on Sunday morning.

Travellers were informed on social media by ScotRail officials that there would be disruptions to services between Arbroath and Dundee until they ended.
