The72’s writers offer their Bradford City vs Salford City prediction ahead of the League Two clash on Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon, League Two action will take precedence over the Carabao Cup as Bradford City takes on Salford City.
Bradford City is preparing for Salford City’s visit as they aim to keep their perfect League Two record.

The Bantams picked up an impressive win on the opening day as they beat early promotion favourites MK Dons away from home. They were 2-0 up within five minutes as Alex Pattison opened the scoring before a Sam Sherring own goal. Alex Gilbey pulled one back but the score remained 2-1. A 1-1 draw with Grimsby Town saw their Carabao Cup first round tie go to penalties, where the Mariners prevailed.

Salford City, meanwhile, is hoping to record their first victory following two losses in as many games.

On the opening day, Karl Robinson’s team was defeated 2-0 by Port Vale thanks to a brace from Ben Garrity. League Two opponents Doncaster Rovers defeated them in the cup as well, with goals from Luke Molyneux and returning favourite Billy Sharp.

Bradford City will undoubtedly be a difficult test, but the Ammies will require a major improvement.
