Teenager dies after fatal incident on A9 bridge

After falling from a bridge and getting struck by a lorry on the A9 near Inverness, an 18-year-old guy passed away.
Emergency services were alerted to the dual carriageway near the Raigmore Interchange at around 07:20, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
For several hours, the road and bridge were closed in order to conduct police investigations.

Although an inquiry has been opened by Police Scotland, the incident is not seen to be suspicious.

“We are still piecing together exactly what happened,” Ch Insp. Richard Ross stated. “I am pleading with anyone who was in the area at the time and has not spoken to us to get in touch.”
